About Military Entrance Exams

Military Entrance Exams is an independent test-prep product for people heading into officer and pilot selection: the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT), the Army's Selection Instrument for Flight Training (SIFT) and the Navy's Officer Aptitude Rating and Aviation Selection Test Battery (OAR / ASTB-E). It is made by Northpine Labs LLC, a small US software company.

Why it exists

The subtests that move a Pilot composite the most — Table Reading, Instrument Comprehension, Block Counting — are speed skills. Speed comes from volume on the real clock, and static question banks run out. So the heart of this product is a set of generators that draw a new question every time, compute its answer key, and run on the official time limits.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with the Department of Defense, the Department of the Air Force, the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps or the Coast Guard, and nothing here is "official". No question here is a real test question — see how we write them. Score numbers in the app are our estimates, not official scores.
