The Space Force uses the same MAGE composites as the Air Force layered over the AFQT, re-verified 2026-07-23 against the current Air Force ASVAB page: Mechanical (M) = VE + AR + AS + MC, Administrative (A) = VE + MK, General (G) = VE + AR, Electronics (E) = AR + MK + EI + GS. Its enlisted force is small and competitive: most Guardian roles lean on Electronics (E) or General (G) and prefer AFQT 50+ for cyber and intelligence specialties. Active-duty floor is AFQT 31 for tier-1 candidates.

What is a passing ASVAB score for the Space Force?

The ASVAB has no pass/fail mark — the AFQT is a 1–99 percentile, and each branch sets its own floor. For the United States Space Force that floor is AFQT 31 for a tier-1 applicant (high-school diploma), verified 2026-07-26 against airforce.com (ASVAB — eligibility; Space Force applies Air Force ASVAB standards). Clearing it makes you eligible to enlist; it does not by itself open any specific job, because jobs gate on line-score composites (M, A, G, E) as well.

Can you join the Space Force with a GED?

Yes, but the bar is higher. Tier-2 applicants (GED or an alternative credential rather than a high-school diploma) need AFQT 50 for the United States Space Force, versus 31 for tier-1 — a 19-point gap.
