The Air Force uses the four MAGE composites (Mechanical, Administrative, General, Electronics) layered over the AFQT. Re-verified 2026-07-23 against the current Air Force ASVAB page: Mechanical (M) = VE + AR + AS + MC, Administrative (A) = VE + MK, General (G) = VE + AR, and Electronics (E) = AR + MK + EI + GS — so General Science counts only toward E, not toward M. Active-duty Air Force enlistment requires an AFQT of 31 for high-school seniors and graduates and 50 for GED holders; the Air Force is generally selective beyond the floor and prefers AFQT 50+ for many AFSCs.
