FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers about scoring, freshness, scope, and independence. Need a longer answer? The methodology page audits every formula.
These answers cover AFQT scoring, branch line-score calculators, source freshness, site independence, and how to report an inaccuracy. The calculators are free with no signup; every score requirement points back to the branch or ASVAB source used for verification.
Is this site affiliated with the U.S. military or the ASVAB program?
No. Military Entrance Exams is an independent educational publication, not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense or the ASVAB program. For official information visit officialasvab.com.
Is the AFQT calculator free?
Yes. The AFQT calculator and per-branch line-score calculators are free with no signup. An optional email plan is offered after the result.
How recent is the data?
Every numeric claim shows a "last verified" date. Rows older than 120 days display a warning; rows older than 180 days are noindexed until re-verified.
Where do the line-score formulas come from?
Each branch publishes its own line-score formulas on its enlistment site (goarmy.com, navy.com, marines.com, airforce.com, spaceforce.com, gocoastguard.com). We cite the source URL on every composite row.
Do you cover the AFOQT, ASTB-E, OAR, or Wonderlic?
Not in the current scope. Those are officer or civilian aptitude tests with different audiences and search terms; they belong to separate sites.
How do I report an inaccuracy?
Use the "Spotted an error? Tell us." link in the footer or on any data page. We re-verify within 30 days.
