Eligibility notes
GoArmy currently lists a TECH score of 105 or above for enlisted 75th Ranger Regiment candidates, plus normal Army eligibility and an authorized MOS.
RASP is the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program — the program soldiers attend after Basic Combat Training and AIT to be assessed and trained for assignment to the 75th Ranger Regiment, per GoArmy. It is the gateway into the Regiment, separate from the Army's voluntary Ranger School.
Per GoArmy, enlisted RASP candidates need a TECH placement score of 105 or above, U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a secret security clearance, an MOS authorized for the 75th Ranger Regiment, and must meet Army physical-fitness standards including the Army Fitness Test.
GoArmy lists RASP 1, the enlisted track, as about eight weeks total — a five-week first phase plus a three-week second phase. RASP 2, for senior NCOs and officers, is a separate three-week selection course.
RASP 1 is the roughly eight-week course for junior enlisted soldiers (pay grades E-1 through E-5). RASP 2 is a three-week selection course for staff sergeants and above, warrant officers, and commissioned officers, per GoArmy.
The official GoArmy Ranger page states the requirement as a TECH placement-test score of 105 or above rather than a GT score, though recruiters commonly cite a GT of about 105 as well. Use the TECH/GT figure in your Army record or ask your recruiter rather than recomputing it yourself.
No. GoArmy describes RASP as the two-phase assessment and selection path for joining the 75th Ranger Regiment; Ranger School is a separate voluntary school that is needed for leadership in the Regiment.
